IWOCS HPU’s
IWOCS HPU’s
Deepsea Technologies, Inc. designs and manufactures Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs) for Installation/Workover Control Systems (IWOCS).
The IWOCS HPUs are either stand-alone or integrated with IWOCS umbilical reels based on customer requirements and footprint limitations. DTI provides both air-operated and electrically-operated systems for these applications. Controls logic offered is pneumatic-hydraulic or microprocessor/PLC based or a combination of the same. Touchscreen human machine interfaces (HMIs) are provided for control of the system as an option.
DTI IWOCS HPUs typically have the following features:
- Skid frame assembly designed for 4-point lifting
- Structure certified to DNV 2.7.1 or other customer specified requirements
- High pressure hydraulic supply consisting of:
- Primary and backup high pressure air operated or electric motor driven pumps (typically 10,000 or 15,000 psi) with automatic shut off logic
- High pressure accumulator bank sized to provide sufficient fluid storage for application
- High pressure regulator with required output range
- Relief valves, isolation valves, bypass valves, gauges, sensors and other instrumentation as required by application
- Low pressure hydraulic supply consisting of:
- Primary and backup low pressure air operated or electric motor driven pumps (typically 3,000 or 5,000 psi)
- Low pressure accumulator bank sized to provide sufficient fluid storage for application
- Low pressure regulator with required output range
- Relief valves, isolation valves, bypass valves, gauges, sensors and other instrumentation as required by application
- Stainless steel reservoir with sight glass and which incorporates low and low-low fluid level alarms
- 4-way selector valves for control of individual output lines mounted on control panel
